hiya,i live in a 2 bed house 3 people myself husband and son .with britishgas we are spending between 5-10 pounds a day topping up the card.only using the heating for about 2 hours a day cause cant afford it.have been told by them this is normal to spend 70 pounds a week on the gas.my neighbour spends 35 pounds a month but they will not listen.any advise please.

Is your neighbour on pre-payment meter too?

Pre-payment is the dearest method.

Also the neighbours house may be better insulated, not heated to the same temperature.

We spend £15 per month on gas for cooking and heating, but this is a normal credit meter and is spread out to cover the year and even at that we are in credit. This is for a 3 bed terrace.
