I currently have my ISA HSBC and am considering moving it to 1st Direct - any thought on how good this prodcut is?

5.50% AER (fixed) until 15 February 2006
and then
3.93% tax free, equivalent to
4.00% AER (variable) thereafter

Does that mean the interest will drop in Feb and that when i max it in april ill get a poor rate?

If you want stability, go to Nationwide (4.5% now for non-'long-term members'). Those who chase best deals move now to Halifax (5%) or A&L (5.2%, includes bonus of 0.70% until 30.04.07).Is there a consistantly good ISA out there?0
