Please do not compare the Avon clock to a Lumie clock! The effectiveness of Lumie products is backed up by clinical research. The Avon product may look the same, but is not going to have the same effect as a medically recognised product.

As I said, I have both the Lumie and the Avon one and there is absolutely no way on this earth that the Lumie works ANY differently, they both work of the same normal standard household light bulbs !, real medical SAD lights have a lot higher wattage bulbs/tubes etc. The Avon one has absolutely the same effect as the Lumie !

Thanks for that; my hubby was interested but didn't want one that runs on batteries. When I read him your post, he told me to go ahead and order one! Here's hoping that gets him out of bed without all the normal hassle, lol!

I got the Alarm clock more than a month ago (my mums an Avon lady) and its CRAP! Im far from a heavy sleeper and it doesnt wake me at all! I hate the dark mornings and was so looking forward to waking up naturally but no it doesnt do anything. Well the bleeper alarm is loud but that shocks you awake, not what the light is designed to do.
