aldi seem to pay well but not sure if they employ night staff.
noticed you can only join their management training scheme if you have a degree with a 2:1 or higher which made me laugh i could nurse children with a diploma but i couldnt manage an aldi store!!!0 -
I've heard that Lidl pay quite well. The son of a colleague of mine worked at Lidl during college holidays and got paid £7ph for cashier work.Debt 30k in 2008.:eek::o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

So just gather what we know so far from this thread:
Tesco- 2007 £6.23ish (Days) £50ish per night.
Asda- £6.03 for days, £8.16 nights
Sainsbury- Around £6 (days)

New, I did start years before they bought new world in, but I wasn't contracted to sundays or mondays (and if i can help it don't do overtime on those days either!!!) so it worked out better for me to switch!!!

Hi im a lurker but thought id join up as im a student working at tesco who worked nights in the holdays just recently.
Tesco pays a basic o £6.17 an hour, the premiums are £1.32 per hour from 10pm to midnight and £1.62 from midnight till 6am
They also still pay time and a half on sundays.
