It is superb, good battery life (6hrs plus), quick to recharge, very light, decent sized keyboard, (almost the same as standard laptop), good display and very good wireless performance.
There are a couple of slightly odd sized keys which take a few minutes to get used to and the touchpad is not my favourite thing - I hate them and always use a small mouse anyhow, overall it deserves all the good press it has been getting since it's release, the prices in the shops are now starting to get back to the £299 initial release price, as it was such a popular item the retaillers put the prices up by around 10 -15% to £330 ish.
Comes in blue, black and white each colour has its fans, mine is white.
Overall get one, you will not regret it !Signature No Longer acceptable -

I agree with all the comments made by fatnbald. I'm using a white one now. I chose white because I think it looks superb and as it has a matt finish it doesn't show fingermarks like the other colours.
I use a bluetooth mouse with it (I also don't like the trackpad) so no wires and no dongle. The keyboard is brilliant for such a small machine. The only key I struggle with is the right shift key - it's too far to the right for my liking.
I sometimes use it connected to my 40" tv via a vga cable and the image is superb.
Brilliant little machine.0 -
They are nice little machines and if you want to find out about its little foibles & technical fixes & tweaks theres a new forum covering them starting up here.
No 2 son got one for xmas, but I've spent quite a bit of time on it too
given its price point its difficult to decide between it and a full laptop, so need to be clear why you want/need it0 -
There is an established user site http://www.sammynetbook.com/news.php it has been growing since the device hit the streets, lots of tips, tricks and news in the forums.Signature No Longer acceptable -

I've had one of the black ones since they were released and I love it... I wouldn't recommend it as your primary machine but I find it great for just watching video files and surfing the net.
The keyboard takes a little getting used to but as it's (allegedly) 95% size of a normal laptop keyboard you should be ok. I was used to mine after about a week.
At £300 it's better than most of the netbook competition IMO - I did plenty of research before buying it too.
I would be interested in knowing more about linking it to a TV though - BarGin?0 -
all i really want it for is surfing the internet and occasionally updating my website thats it where is best to buy it dont want to purchase it from a place that will go into admin,0

To be honest you are as well going to PC World or Curry's as their prices are within touching distance of most other prices, for peace of mind even if it it another £20 I would always deal face to face as taking it back is soo much easier in the unfortunate event of ther being a problem.Signature No Longer acceptable -

I'm getting one of these Samsung netbooks in a few months, can someone confirm that if you connect a dvd drive, you can play non-graphics intensive games, say such as Zuma, Peggle and other puzzle games.Sealed Pot Challenge 15 #78

Showing as `Out Of Stock` at the moment, but if they come back in, John Lewis seems like the best deal, £322 with 2 year guarantee.0
