Hiring a Car - deposits

I'm planning to hire a car for 3 days shortly - using a special deal (£56 for the 3 days).
Does anyone know how much deposit is normally secured on your credit card? I want to make sure I use a card that has enough to cover it.
FWIW, I'm 27 with perfect driving record :-D

Sorry, ignore my question - I phoned and asked.
For anyone searching in future, I was told it would be £100 (enterprise)0 -
Could I ask where you got the special deal from?0

Id guess Enterprise car hire...0

Yes, enterprise - they do 'weekend specials' for £56 inclusive (for a corsa). You collect the car on friday, and return on monday.
Can't fault them to be honest - they even came and picked me up!0 -

It maybe differs according to age and the vehicle - but when I called I was told £100 without being asked anything.0 -
Hi just rang Enterprise re the deposit as i used to use the Preston dept which was a £100 but here in Kirkcaldy in Scotland its £150 ! asked them what is dearer and was told is is down to each regions general manager ! Great so another 50 quid in enterprises pocket adding interest to their bank account for 7 days ............0
