Can i just add my 2 cents worth.............
Took my car into Lincoln, Tritton road on saturday for a full service, the chap rang me up to say it was ready for collection and it only needed a wiper blade, i told the chap i would sort it out another day.
When i went to pick it up they had put a pair on and not charged me they were fitted FOC , it only cost me £35 in Tesco clubcard points.
Ive had no problems with the Lincoln Tritton Road branch and have used them for the past 3 years.

A couple of years ago the glowplugs failed on my 306 and after a 10 min battle to get it started I managed to get it to work and phoned a Nationwide Autocentre. They not only managed to get it in and do the work as urgent they noticed that one of the wiper blades was on its last legs and changed it - free!
Guess it just goes to show that a company is only as good as the people who work in that branch!0 -
Hi
I took my car (2002 Megane Convertible) in for major service into nationwide autocentres in cardiff...
They made an absolute hash of the Megane we took there as well - can't remember all the problems that we had as I've tried to wipe it from my mind - but found their workmanship and CS appalling.
I did get some guilty revenge though as I had the manager's car overnight as a courtesy car and drove it home and back, down the A470, at 70mph+ and never got out of 2nd. Childish but rewarding and would never have done it if not for the sheer frustration of having to deal with these people.0 -

If you did that you've done nothing but put your own life & those of other motorists at risk. And trashed a car in the process. Utter stupidity.
There's plenty of ways to resolve issues with a garage without resorting to irresponsible behaviour like that.

Thanks for that judgement
I was posting my experience of Nationwide Autocentres for the OP. There are not plenty of ways to resolve issues with this company as I had exhausted all options that were available to me.
I have no need to have my actions sanctioned by you, so please keep your opinions to yourself.
Do you have anything constructive to add about Nationwide Autocentres?0 -
I dont.
Would you like me to sympathise you?
There there Llyllyllyllyllyllyll ....hug hug BAD nationwide autocenter0 -
There are plenty of options. None of these options involve deliberately damaging a car (criminal offence), speeding on an A road (criminal offence) or endangering the lives of pedestrians & other road users (criminal offence). And I've got every right to comment as someone who, unlike you, doesn't go out of my way to deliberately break the law.
As to my experience with the company, my car was repaired in their Hamilton repair shop last August following an accident and to the tune of £2700. The only problem I had was that they found it difficult to source parts. My car was a Rover and the parts supply line had been disrupted by Rovers collapse. As it was, when I got the car back the rear end looked brand new and they had managed to perfectly match the paint of the repaired section to the rest of the car. Good result for me. Even better because the insurance company paid for it.
That's not to say this company is perfect. I've heard of other people complaining about them. So use your options, post your complaints here, send a letter to the local newspaper for publication, write to their managing director, complain to Watchdog & trading standards. And if you're sure of your case then sue them. Get it over to them that you won't give up until your complaint is dealt with to your satisfaction. Don't let them get away with shoddy repairs or bad worksmanship.
What kind of country would this be if we all followed your example ? Interflora deliver the wrong bouquet ? Burn the flowershop down ? Tescos consistently deliver your groceries late ? Torch the delivery van ?

Dont touch them
Took car to Bridgend Autocentre, for a service, to have ac fixed, and a noise rectified
They "found" 800 pounds worth of suspension and brake work, did not fix the AC, noise persisted and they left a brake hose loose - I found the leaking fluid hours before setting off on holiday and spent half the night rectifying it
A yeat later I have managed to get back a third of the 1300 pound bill - but only after absolute hell
Stay clear0
