    you cant change yesterday
but you can make tomorrow better
  • I have a platinum card (have had it since 2004). I've been clearing the balance and I suspect they've reduced it to encourage me to keep spending. The APR has reduced by 1.5%. Yay!

so what was the apr and whats it now if you don't mind me asking :)
  • It has been reduced to 4.98% from 6.48%. So the rate wasn't too bad anyway. Cash advance has also reduced by 1.5% to 16.53%.

This is the no hassle platinum card which had a low 6.9% rate when launched a few years ago. The rate is linked to the base rate and surprisingly Cap One to their credit have been reducing this with the base rate.
