Options
Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice on the above. I would like to reclaim PPI from the Welcome Finance and Citifinancial.

I'm just starting out on this process so any advice would be gratefully received!

Thanks

How did you get these loans?
Did you use a broker or intermediary?
When did you take them out?
How much did you borrow and how much was the ppi?
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.

    Hello Lil and welcome.

I see Peter has asked you some of the main questions for this.

If you believe you have been mis sold for any reason, you can try to reclaim and complain to the company, but also check out this link here for further information on PPI mis selling, which will give you more of an idea how to go about this.

There is also a letter template to help you, but try to add as much info as possible with your own reasons to back your case, they have 8 full weeks to respond.

If you let us know the outcome of this, we can help you to the next step if required.

Post all letters by recorded delivery for your proof of posting and to keep a check on the 8 weeks timescales they have.

However, if you have not heard by the 8 weeks, you can then still take your complaint to the financial ombudsman service for them to investigate, but see what happens first.

We look forward to hearing the outcome of this, good luck Lil.;)

Thanks for the response - I took them both out directly with local branches, first loans were about 6 years ago.

My situation is that I'd got myself in trouble and took out loans with these companies, who would intermittently contact me with a view to increasing my loan (and stupidly I did on a number of occasions...)

You could say I am having my lightbulb moment and I would hazard a guess that I've had £15k from these companies. I've successfully reclaimed bank charges, so I thought I'd look into reclaiming PPI. I've got to do the disclosure requests, but I will keep you all posted.

    Thanks again for your help
