Removing or stopping addresses being stored in drop down bar

Hi guys,

Have just had to restart my PC from day one after getting a really nasty virus that wiped everything out. PC is up and running with all the basics on that I got when I first started the machine 4years ago. I dont know how I did it but I used the three system restore discs I did years ago.

How do I stop the address bar from storing addresses in the drop down bit. I did manage to do it before but I havent a clue how and wouldnt know where to start now as it was so long ago.

thanks

If it is addresses you want to clear, you have to do Tools > Internet Options > Delete Browsing History > Delete History. This is for IE7

the excellent ccleaner is always good for cleaning out previous history sessions, cookie sessions; and also as a registry cleaner (although use it carefully with regards to the latter).
