Foolishly I put a piece of paper into the printer folded into 2 instead of cutting it to size, it has got jammed inside and I can`t see any way to get it out, its a HP psc 950 - i`ve pressed all the buttons and it now keeps making a loud beeping noise as well.
Please can anyone help, does it come apart?? need to do printing this afternoon.
Its my own fault, too lazy to get scissors.
Thanks

You will have to pull the piece of folded paper out using long nosed pliers/tweezers etc. It may need to be ripped into pieces to get it all out. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Hi have managed to get a lot of it out, using your suggestion but some of it seems mangled round the roller thingie inside!! any ideas just can`g get at it.0

It's one of those problems that just needs to be done piece by piece - sometimes lots of very small pieces...
You might try the "customer self repair" or "active chat" options here:

You may find some advice on how to release the paper feed mechanism or release the pressure on the rollers if you're lucky.0 -
Thanks, I found a knob on the back which released a flap so you could see the rollers..... they are clear now but think I must have messed it up trying to pull the paper out with plyers. It is making a funny noise, no paperw will feed thru whatever I try is jamming.. think I may have to cut my losses and put it down to experience.. put the right size paper in and don`t shove plyers and stuff into the mechanics.
Am thinking of getting HP 7280 so just finding all I can about it at the moment - including the cost of running it. this broken one wasn`t that cheap!
I appreicate your reply thanks.0 -
I`ve just switched the printer on after turning it off 45 mins ago, when I gave up! wanted to show daughter what it was doing and the noise it was making. it worked! can`t beleive it, I`ve messed with it for about 2 hours this afternoon and it would not play, now its printing again.
Not sure whether to stick with it or go for new one that does photo`s etc.
grrrrrr it makes you want to scream.. technology I need it but really can`t cope when it goes wrong.0 -
Check to see no paper has got to the wrong side of the print heads.
I spent ages teasing loads of paper out of an HP, to have it still not working, then I found a crumpled mess behind where the print heads sit when not being used.A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0 -
Very often it seems as though you have removed every little bit of paper; the clue is usually in the error light (if the printer has one) as it's staying lit for a reason - check the back, front and the paper feed.BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? Thanks for all youre replies, it is still working after the spell of being turned off for 45 mins, so fingers crossed....... just undecided now whether to get a new up to date one and keep this in the loft for emergencies. Its great doing print etc but pictures and photos are rubbish.0

If its working again then keep using it and dont stuff any more folded paper in
