Question about Bluetooth head set and USB hub

I have 2 questions but I thought I'd put them under the same thread.

1 - If I buy a bluetooth headset for a mobile and a bluetooth usb dongle for my PC, can I use the headset as a microphone and earpiece on my PC and use VoIP programs with it?

2 - How can I tell if my USB devices are powered or not? I'm thinking of getting a USB hub but not sure if I need powered or not. I have:
USB Mouse
USB Keyboard
USB Mobile Phone Cable
USB Card Reader
USB Ipod Connector
USB Joypad
USB Scanner - The scanner has its own main plug

Cheers :)

  • 1 - Dependant on the bluetooth headset - I know mine works in that way, you should probably be able to get it working with most of them but can't guarentee it

2 - You probably won't need a powered hub for the devices you have lifted apart from possibly the Ipod which could be pluged straight in to the back fo your PC along with a USB hub, the only difference in price with a powered and non powered hub is only £2-3 so I would recommend a powered hub anyway
