    Good morning all

Woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning :j DD's were not impressed on their first day back to school. DD1 has gone in (local primary with-in walking/slippyslidey distance but DD2's school said only send them if you can collect them if the weather worsens.... buses all running late so she's got a snow day - she's made up as you can imagine.

Going to go through the banking today - it's the 1st christmas where we've not used a cc for anything and I'm just about, still in credit with the banks too :T .

Gemmzie - what's the issue with the dietician?
Rugbymum - Hope you get your sainsburys probs sorted.

    Awww, I want snow! :(

Morning all. My diet started on 2nd January. I want to out-diet my brother who has today claimed that he has given up alcohol till April. We could both do with losing weight, so will be a good challenge for us both!

OH has (on my instruction) hidden the Christmas chocolates (probably under the bed - his imagination isn't THAT good!), leaving me 2 out as my daily ration - I have a hazelnut in caramel, and a toffee. :) All the other Christmas goodies are out of sight in the spare room. Let's hope they stay there!

Rugby Mum - I would scan in the statement with the entry highlighted and email it to the pople in Sainsbury's followed by a letter with a highlighted photocopy.

    Happy Monday everyone:p

I emailed the right page to them and I'm now waiting to hear back from "Clark" (Kent?) who is going to sort this out for me. AWWWW bless him, he sounded about 13, but I suspect a techie type guy.:D

The diet definitely starts today! I'm not really overweight but I am 2 stones heavier than when I met my husband 6 years ago so would like to lose at least a stone. I'm also going on holiday in 6 weeks so if I could knuckle down and lose it before then it would be fab!!!! What's your dietician done Gemzie?

rugbymum - I hope you sort it out. I hate Sainsbury's with a passion, nothing is ever in stock at my local one. Mind you I am not friends with Tesco today either. I ordered 3 parsnips estimated to cost 70p which is what I wanted obviously and they sent 3 of the largest parsnips I have ever seen costing £1.68. Technically I did order 3, as they take orders one number of parsnips but the give you estimated cost and weight, I don't know if I can complain.

Snaggles - I used to do that all the time so made J carry all his stuff to school instead!

Hope you all have a great day!!!

    I'm sorry Caroline,
I'm just picturing some spotty 17 year hold comparing parsnips in the shop and saying "well it's a big un' they'll love it"!

    Morning all

We've got snow here too. Looks ever so pretty on the trees etc :D
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

morning. No snow here, although it looks like there might have been a light rain shower at some point.

On holiday until 13th for my office job, but still loads to do  I only want to have to go to work once to do my printing and photocopying for the first couple of teaching sessions, so I've been finishing that off this morning. Going to take Charlie out, then go to the office to do the paperwork and then go to the supermarket to get some weird vegetables for a quiz at the first lesson tomorrow morning.

Then when I get back, take down the tree/decs and at some point this afternoon I am hoping to get to go to the school I am teaching at first thing tomorrow to at least find out where I'm going, but the person at the school hasn't been in touch with my bosses so I may be going along tomorrow a bit blind.

Then AQA I guess to round off the day (and my OH wonders why I don't have much time for housework  )

Woo, I'm up to nearly 6000 steps now :j

(and 2500 of those have been 'aerobic steps', but I'm not sure exactly what that means as I haven't read the instructions! I'm guessing it's when you are walking continuously for a certain period and the fat-burning kicks in?)
