I have noticed a user over the xmas-new year period have PPR implemented. I assume this was because they'd done something wrong, or breached rules - I don't know. However, I do know that the user was quite helpful, especially in the techie forum. Do people get warnings given first, maybe followed by a temporary PPR tag?
It is purely curiosity, but for someone who appears to help out new members and current ones alike, I was wondering what must he/she have done to get a PPR tag.

My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.

I have to be honest MSE towers ,are Extremely tolerant, and a person really has to push the boundries to be PPRd.
Regardless of their helpful posts, abuse, is abuse0 -

I realise abuse is abuse, irrespective of postings (helpful or not). I just wondered what the protocol was.My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0 -

Absolutely agree on both counts. And also a person being 'helpful' to some/many posters should should not discount same person being abusive ('unhelpful'!!) to other posters.BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

It would be inappropriate to discuss any individual user and what they might or might not have done, so not a lot of point in the OP answering that question!
That's why I didn't reply to it, it wouldn't be right to name them.My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0 -

Previously there have been threads discussing the reasons certain posters were PPR. Some as a result of these threads were given a second chance - the main one I'm thinking of was PPR again though!
It's also hard to comment the reasons why someone who is viewed as helpful if you don't know who they are talking about.
I have to admit I've been surprised at the support given to some PPR members as it was obvious they had over stepped the mark but other posters thought it was their humour!~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

The person in question also made a new account with "You will never be able to kill me" (or something similar) in their username. That is PPR'ed too. The person you are talking about had been pushing the boundaries for a good year or so.0

Ah, I didn't realise. I knew they'd created another account which again I didn't want to name as may be able to be identified. Maybe it was just coincidence, but most posts I've seen by them have been helpful. I've not seen any "slanderous" ones by them, I may have missed these!!My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0
