  • Thanks all I think I'm ready now.

I will try and get to the The Royal Courts of Justice in London a mornin this week. I need to do it this week or I have to wait till after payday because of the time it takes to change my bank details at work and setting up a basic co-op account the day after BR. then there's child benefit it takes ages to get them to change an account.

Will post an updated SOA later for final review if thats ok, thank you all again

CP, it might be worth asking to child benfit people to put a hold on it now until you get your new account, they need a long lead-in to change account and have been known to pay it into the old account even with 2-3 weeks notice (they did this to me once, I lost it).

If you have not already done so and you are certain you will go bc this wk,apply for your co-op account today. It takes about a wk to come through. It won't need to be declared on your SOA as it is not set up yet.Dx

That's pretty normal, more people get referred than don't.
I've had a joint account with my OH since last April, in September I wanted another one in my name, I even got referred for that.

hiya just on the child benefit part - i have been trying all day to phone them but still cant get through - I applied for a coop account on 18th dec and took my id in on 19th and still not heard from them grrrrrrrr phoned them twice since and they keep saying have not received id!!!! my br date is friday 9th yikes and panicing over benefits. phoned child tax benefits and they sorted me out over the phone by cancelling my bank account details therefore forcing a manual payment via giro until i get bank sorted - they were really really helpful but they did say if it was a change of bank details it can take upto 30 days so i suggest you get manual payment sorted first so at least you know you are getting the money even if it will be a pain in the !!!! like for me to go to post office to cash it. Does anyone know that when the bank account is frozen - does this prevent payments going in as well as out of the bank?
sorry to jump in on your thread there with my questions but hopefully will help you too :O)
    thanks
  • Thanks PP.

I might have to wait till after the 23rd to go BR as the cut off date to change account details at work is this Fri 9th Jan.

If i DO do it then will I have to declare the coop account that I applied for today on my petition? my payday is the 23rd Jan.

Has anyone had a Co-op refered account set up in super fast time?

I'm mentally ready to BR tomorrow i'm counting the days, I just can't afford to get it wrong.
