Setting up dvd recorder and digibox

Hi,
Please can someone help with the answer to my question.
Bought my son dvd recorder and when set up with digibox then share the same channel on the TV and so we are unable to recorder digibox.
I have scart from tv to digi and then 1 from digi to dvd. Aerial is connected from tv to DVD and then from dvd to digi and from digi to outside aerial.
If someones knows the anwser then that would be great.

Assuming the dvd recorder has a THU port ~
Connect av1 of the dvd to the tv. Connect av1 of freeview to av2 of the recorder
Only connect an aerial to the freeview (And the tv if its needed)
To watch freeview ~ switch off the recorder. It should allow the signal THROUGH to the tv.
To record freeview ~ select to record av2 (Or also av1 if the tv allows record out):idea:0
