The NEED to DIET for FREE.....Help. !!

I've lost 2lbs since last week - so Wii Fit tells me.
I like the free step and the boxing best! The free step means that I can watch tv at the same time... 30 mins of that every morning plus the balance and muscle exercises (can't quite bring myself to do the yoga yet...) seem to be doing their job. So much so, that the little Wii Fit told me that he was worried about the rate of my weight loss, this morning. But weight does drop quickly for me in the first couple of weeks - soon he'll be telling me to review my eating habits and eat less...Natwest CC - [STRIKE]£2545[/STRIKE] now £0 :j

I love the free step on Wii Fit and the jogging but I swear...nothing gets the heart going like skipping! Get a rope in your pound shop :TComp wins 2014: £30 Gu Pud Vouchers0 -
This might sound a bit stoooopid - lots of people have been mentioning the wii fit and it sounds great.
What would I need to buy, the wii fit and a console plus anything else?
Advice appreciated so I can do a costing, thanks:Dfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
The console around £250 new
The board and game £60-90
A remote which comes with the console
That's all you need
Expensive if you don't already have the console but it's cheaper than a gym membership or a diet club!!!Comp wins 2014: £30 Gu Pud Vouchers0 -
There is an excellent series on Living TV channel at the moment with Paul McKenna. I've watched the first two. No hypnosis involved just serious common sense.
The basic stuff so far has been.
1) if you are hungry, then eat.
2) eat the things that you like
3) eat very slowly and enjoy the taste
4) focus on the eating and not on other distractions (e.g. TV)
5) when you no longer feel hungry, stop eating
There has also been stuff about self manipulating of acupuncture points to de-stress because emotional eating is often triggered by stress/emotional pain.
Initially, food will be either thrown away or re-heated at another meal. I imagine that as it becomes a longstanding habit, smaller portions will be prepared as a matter of course (was that a pun? )
.
The core message so far seems to be about moving eating from an unconcious act to a concious one .

Just to add, apparently it's better to wqeigh oneself infrequently - two weekly at most or maybe even monthly.0 -
Paul McKenna is also being shown on Sky3 at 1pm every day this week.
I like the tip about putting knife, fork or spoon down between each mouthful. It really does make a difference...Natwest CC - [STRIKE]£2545[/STRIKE] now £0 :j

Yes. I forgot that bit. Makes a lot of sense too.

Thought it might cost a lot - I finally cancelled my gym membership because I was one of those who never went (don't even go there for how long this went on for!). Also no diet club for me either so I think I will look around for a deal, I guess this will take a long time to find one!
PS I recommend Paul Mckenna, it's about £5.50 ish on amazon, I found this really worked for me. The hardest bit was recognising when I was hungry and fitting it into work. Otherwise quite easy really. The CD is a v.good help. It is an individual thing tho' and is good moving away from the 'diet' mentalityfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Go for a second hand console!
My mum has been looking for a Wii fit since September...if you find one, tell me where! :rotfl:Comp wins 2014: £30 Gu Pud Vouchers0
