Financing a car

This is really simple, in two months I hand back a car which I have had through a "hire purchase scheme" there are advantages and disadvantages to this. But I have decided that when I replace this car I want to buy it out right.
My question is, do I use the showroom's finance scheme or do I look into taking a bank loan to finance the purchase?
All advice gratefully received!

depends whats cheaper. The dealer finance i was offered was much lower then any personal loan being offered, but some people will suggest using a 0% credit card if you can. Depends what deal you are being offered, one garage were looking at 12.4%, so i told them to forget it, but the other offered me 6%.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0

Erm, not sure what you mean by wanting to buy it outright - yet you mention about using the Dealers finance or bank loan?0
