Money management software

Can anyone recommend any good money management software for home use? Thanks

Comments

  • It depends how complicated your finances are, I'm sure many of the free programs or even a spreadsheet are suitable if you only have a bank account and a credit card but if you have investments I have not found anything to match Microsoft Money.

You can pick it up cheap on eBay and if you buy Microsoft Works Suite it come included in the package. Also check prices on www.google.co.uk/products

Make sure you buy the UK version as it is tailored for UK use, many people and online stores in the UK sell the USA version. 2005 is the latest UK version, if anyone is selling a later version it is not the UK version.

    That's great - many thanks
  • Not sure how good it is, but you can get Microsoft Accounting Express for free under the genuine advantage scheme. The OH keeps saying I should give it a go but I still havent lol. I normally just use Microsoft Excel for day to day stuff :-)

    Hope this helps.

I use Money at home. I found Microsoft Accounting difficult to set up, and I've used several different accounts packages through work, including Sage and Quickbooks.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Create a spreadsheet on Google Docs you can then access it anywhere online, its ace.
