Sainsburys xmas bargains

Thanks for that. That's a really useful page:beer: . Yes it is delicious just a bit too rich to eat as a dessert as it is! It was originally £1.89:eek: so looked like too much of a bargain to ignore. BTW I think Waitrose has got rid of most of its Christmas stock now - on 2 January I got 2 1kg Free Range Organic Gammons for £2 reduced from £21:eek: and a 1Kg ham reduced from £18:eek: to £3 something. The gammons have gone in the freezer and the ham sliced up and frozen in small amounts. I got my Christmas gammon from Waitrose but it was only £6 something. Sorry but this is digressing from the Sainsburys thread. Can't help with what to use it for, but clotted cream can be frozen for up to one month (you can check this out on the BBC Good Food website here). This may hopefully give you time to research some recipes. Sounds delicious by the way0 -

picked up loads of snacks for 75% of today. Big pots of fruits and nuts that had cost£3 or more now cost 60p. Boxes called 'cookie selection' down from more than £3 to £1 a box, tubs of twiglets and cheese puffs were about 66p. Not much left in store but got some nice bits and pieces.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
