Norton Antivirus

Newly built system - machine now back in action. However, when I bring up the Norton Internet Security box on-screen it is showing "System Status - Attention" and Norton Antivirus with an exclamation mark and saying "attention" in red.

Am I missing something here? I would have thought this would have stated "on" like all the other items mentioned.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

yep....delete Nortons and install Sygate + AVG, both free

googled you problem and found nothing

still looking may be back

nothing on the Nortons support about that problem..

Just a further thought - it could have been something to do with the fact that I was running a Norton scan at the time ... ? It has gone back to "on" now rather than showing "attention".

Yup - you've got it in one. Anything out of the ordinary with the computer completely throws me!! Just want it to be as it was, minus the problems.

If it was a new built then norton was probably complaining that you hadn't done a full system scan yet.
