in IVA & DRO
MY hubby and I took out our IVA in December 2007 and paying £298. per month. All has been going well untill I started work. The company I started with did a 20% discount card which you had to sign up to. It was I later discovered a capital one credit card. I did use it with christmas here and no money to speak of. I had two statements which I did pay off more than they asked and then didn't have any more statements so couldn't pay them and I also left the company.
Debt free then wrote in November for our anual review so, I posted off all the paperwork and haven't heard anything since.
This cap one letter arrived yesterday saying I had missed two payments. When I phoned up some snotty fella said it had come to their attention that I was in an IVA so it had been forwarded to a debt company straight away and that I should never have took it out being as I was in an IVA. I owe them £160.
The problem is will they auto tell DFD or will DFD know anyway and what will they do? I am going out of my mind with worry now, please help.

In my opinion any IP is very unlikely to fail an IVA over a small amount of credit. Dont forget that they are earning lots of money from you and although they by law must look after the interests of the creditors it wouldnt be in the creditor's interest to terminate the IVA either.
I would do what I could to pay the £160 asap. Whether DFD would find out or not I don't know but please try not to worry about it too much.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0
