New to EBay - keep losing out in final minutes - help?

put in an odd max amount as well, if you want a max bid of £20 then enter £20.08 or £19.98 as most people seem to bid in round amounts
as the others say , only bid in the last minute or 30 seconds
£19.98 is not a good amount to bid imo. quite likely that somoene else would bid £20 and you would lose out by 2p.
i would suggest bidding over your max amount by a few pence, not under by a few pence0 -
Huge thanks to everyone - I will give the sniper a try as I can't trust my fingers to be fast enough in those final minutes.

Hi,
I understand your frustration, I have always used a sniper and set at 4 seconds. Try 'bidnip' www.bidnip.com and you can get five free goes before you have to join.0
