Hello.
Did anyone get paid double interest for December? I seem to have had interested for similar amounts on exactly the same day?

I'm assuming you mean December?
If so, then the bonus and underlying rates were very similar (2.xx% gross p.a.) throughout the month. Perhaps they show them as separate credits to the account?0 -

It could be, but I thought the bonus was wrapped in each month. I'm not complaining either way0 -
It is the bonus. Check the full statement, the first one is marked 31DEC GRS and the second RLTY BON.0

Interestingly I had the same thing on my new e-savings account, but the second credit wasn't marked as RLTY BON. I just assumed it was my bonus, but there was no indication otherwise.Mmmm, credit crunch. Tasty.0 -
Can someone remind me what was so special about this account, I have been paying more than £100 per month in for 4 months and cannot see anything except about 90p interest at the end of the month.0

There is nowt special really except that if the account was opened between 19 September 2008 and 01 January 2009 then a bonus of about 2.10% is added to the account on top of the interest, of course back in Sept the interest rate was very reasonable but now the basic rate has plummeted to 1.29% it's not much use unless one has the bonus!0 -
Yes the £50 I think that was it, so I should be moving money out of this account into one with decent interest. Except most others now are almost as bad!0

Yes that's why I opened it after seeing a message on the main board at MSE or possibly the MSE forums about the 2.1% bonus, however I can't find it now.
What's baffling me is why my first transaction was on the 12th August 2008! Hence no bonus. Was the original information correct about the eligible opening date?0
