Help Post Office homephone are trying to charge me again for installing phone line!

Any help would be apprieciated here.
Basically i signed up with post office homephone in a brand new flat which did not have a landline so they charged me £110 to install the line for me.
I decided i would prefer to go to talktalk as i wanted broadband and it was cheaper so i phoned up post office to cancel as in there terms and conditions it said if you did this within 7 days of the new phone line being installed you would not have to pay any line rental.
Then i signed up with talktalk and recieved a letter from the postoffice saying sorry i was leaving and giving me a date when my service would be taken over.
Any i waited 3 weeks for talktalk to take over and they said they couldnt as there was not land line apparently postoffice had dissconneted it.
So i ended up going back with the postoffice as they said they could set the phone line back up do the broadband at the same time otherwise i would have to wait another 3 weeks after they had set me up to move to talktalk and i just could not wait anymore.
Just recieved my bill yesterday and they have charged me another £110 for a new line why is this?
I have only just paid them £110 3 weeks before to install a new line and all along i have still had a dial tone i just could not make or recieve any calls.
Anyway anyone got any ideas on this as i really dont want to pay another £110 for a new line they have not put in.

I'd say there is your clue, not paying line rental is different from not paying an installation charge.
  • So are you saying i should pay the line rental but dispute and not pay the installation charge?
  • i have now dicided to pull away from my PO phone account because dispite being signed up to the service in sept 08 we have not to date got any bills or payment card to hell with them:mad:
