How can you keep the stamps in your passport?

Hi there,
I got married in 2007 and have only just got round to sorting a new passport with my married name (one of many new years resolutions!) Im just filling out the application and it says that I have to send in my current passport, but Ive got a lot of stamps in it so I was wondering if there was any way I could cut the pages with the stamps out and then send it in? Or will I get in trouble for defacing my passport! I would say it was damaged, but that means having to fill out another for, get photos done and then varified.
Any suggestions?

Kinda odd that you'd want to keep them but each to their own.
Anyway they deface, ie cut the edge off of the passport and send it back to you so it wont be a problem keeping your stamps.
all the best

As phatbear says, they just snip the corners off your old passport and return it to you, so you will still have all your stamps.0

Note that any valid visas in your old passport remain valid, so long as you travel with it as well as your current passport.0

must be for the memories, I knwo people who have got copies of old passports and whenever they look at the stamps they remeber the time they were on holidayBlessed on 18th February 2014 at 0814 with little Sarah xxx0

'Lose the passport' as it's the only way of guaranteeing that you'll not lose your stamps. My friend sent hers back having travelled the world and though you are supposed to get it back, they lost it for her. As there is no charge difference now between renewing/changing and getting a new passport, you are at no monetary loss. Mine runs out soon and there's not a chance I'm sending my old, well travelled, one to the office.0
