Wasn't sure if this was the right section of the forum but figured it's where I'd get the best answer.
I'm looking to buy some rechargable batteries for use in my digital camera when I go to the States. These look to be a pretty good buy on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Energizer-Minute-Charger-AAA-Batteries/dp/B0016MNKD0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1231075141&sr=8-1
Are these going to be compaitble with the US voltage or whatever? If not, are there any similar products that are or what should I be looking for?

you could pick up a set of rechargables with the wall charger for about $10-15 when you get there , any supermarket , wal mart , target will have lots to choose from0

Hmm, fair enough. The only reason I asked was because I was reading the reviews of a similar product to the one I referred to, and someone had stated they were unable to use it in the US. Anyway, thanks!0

Ah, the point is you mentioned the batteries, not the charger itself.
Batteries are batteries throughout the world, so you if buy Brand X rechargeable AA batteries then if the device needs AA batteries then they would be fine.
Now the charger might only work on the 230V* we use and not the 110V they use in the USA. However further investigating I've seen it mention in the spec that it works on any voltage from around 100V to over 240V.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Exactly what I have said Bextech.

Not quite.
You didn't mention anything about the charger other than you would need a worldwide adapter and that worldwide adapter just allows you to plug a UK plugged item into a USA socket, it doesn't alter the voltage, so unless the charger (which in this case it is) is designed to work on the voltage for the country you visit it ain't going to be much good. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... Been there done this.
A UK charger runs at 230V in the uk the US mains is 110~115v so a UK charger doesnt receive what it needs so doesn't charge correctly usually takeing an age to charge and they don't charge fully either. So you need to check your charger see if it has multi voltage on the back. The solution for us has been posted above, go to walmart and buy a charger for use in the US, I think ours was about $10 and we got a set of 4 batteries with it.0 -

So this charger arrived this morning.
On the plug it says:
"Switching Mode Power Supply Model
PRI 100-240v"
So if I take it to the States and plug it in using a 2 pin adapter, it should work properly, right?0 -
