Credit Card Cheques - Scandalous

I just received another batch of unsolicited credit card cheques from Bank of Scotland. They look like such a good idea until you read the small print. Anyone who uses them must be desperate or stupid.
They do not offer any of the usual credit card protection.
Interest is a whopping 29.95% from day one.
You pay that interest rate until any other debts on the card have first been paid off.
Absolutely outrageous!!

  • Always good to read the small print on any arrangement.
But please dont tar all the offers with the same brush. Your particular credit card cheques this time are shredder fodder I agree, but the small print on the next lot may well make some really useful offers.

I received some (from Halifax), read the terms, then ripped them up.
Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.
