asda online exclusive car insurance

Happy New Year to everyone!
Can anyone please tell me if you have any experience of Asda's online exclusive car insurance. I did a quote with them yesterday and it seems quite a bit cheaper than my More Than renewal which, strangely, is over £140 more than if I started again with them, they offered me a £30 discount on the phone - whoopdido! Cashback Kings are offering a £60 cashback on the asda insurance which would bring my renewal back down to about £250 but Im just worried, you have no paper documents, no paper certificate of motor insurance and how can you print your own one off to tax your car? Will the post office accept that? Im sure I saw on the site that some people had been stopped by the police for not having motor insurance even though they'd taken it out online with Asda. So, can anyone give me some advice please, Im really confused about insurance at the moment.
