    Hi Sarah

We bought a Kenwood Major a couple of years ago and I now could not live without it!!
It was a bargain (comparatively!!) we bought it on ebay and did a load of research on prices before we spent any money, we've built up a collection of attachments over the past two years (great when people ask what do you want for birthday/xmas!!), and I can safely say we use it every day.
I think it came with the blender (they mostly do...) and we also have the food processor, grinder and mincer attachments....so...you can make your own soup, smoothies, sausages, burgers, sauces, grind up your own spice mixes, coffee beans, make bread, whisk cream, eggs, make cakes...all in a matter of minutes (but not all at the same time  ).
We bought the major because we do a lot of baking and it has the largest bowl we also bought a spare bowl as it's useful for example when baking lots of bread as it means you can do more than one loaf at a time...oo also would advise getting one with a splatter screen over the bowl it saves a lot of wiping down the kitchen afterwards!!!
Hope this is of some help!

I am exactly the same, if it is out i'll use it! My utlity (futility!) room is not right off my kitchen, I have to go through the playroom first which means i'm often put off getting an item out of there as i'll disturb the happily playing kids and be followed round for the rest of the afternoon, lol!

Which colour do you have, I have the red one and cannot believe the price of it on amazon!

Sorry only just noticed your question.
I have the cream one, I've got cream units so it blends in,though a red one would be a good focal point.
Used it today to bake my son a cake for his birthday, quite disappointed as the sponge didn't really rise. I am used to everything being a success with my patissier.

I got the KM020 Major - it's not as big as I thought it would be, I think the bowl is just a little taller than the KM020 and classic models.

Best thing is it will take a whole bag (1.5kg) of bread flour in one go!

So far, very happy with it.

    Hi sarah,

As there is a current thread on which Kenwood to buy I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

These recent theads may help too:

Kenwood Chef - which to buy?

    Kenwood Chef - do I/don't I?
