my mobile phone wont work where I now live!!

I recently moved to a small village and cant get a mobile signal on my Orange phone. The only network that works is 02 However I am only 9months into an 18month contract. I have been led to believe I can get out of my contract if there is no signal. Anyone know if this is correct??

No mobile operator can guarantee 100% coverage, so getting no signal in one particular location is not grounds to terminate a contract early.

thought it was coverage when you started the contract . other wise any body could end contracts half way through

You would be able to end the contract but only by paying what's left to run.

knock the tarriff down to the lowest possible one, and just put the sim in the cupboard and do nothing with it...

temporarially, sign up for one of the sim only contracts with o2 (that is the letter o, the number 2), and then put that in your phone you had with orange.. oh.. and unlock the orange phone! i nearly forgot that bit
