'webworks'?

Anyone recognise this from their credit card bill? I have a transaction for 3.99 from their on my online bill and I can't for the life remember where I might have used the card for £3.99... and certainly nowhere called Webworks. Is this a name for another company?

(Ie; my local petrol garage comes up as 'sports centre' on my bill)

PS I can't find a receipt for £3.99 in my wallet either... it might have been online, nothing in my email inbox either though.

I have bought some books from TheBookPeople but none are showing as dispatched and none cost £3.99... I am a bit stumped. I will call fraud in the morn if no one can shed any light tonight..

Any help would be appreciated!!

Help I am really scared now as I have just seriously wracked my brain and I just CANNOT think where I might have used the card... the transaction date is 31Dec but I was at work from 9-4 and then came home... I had a shower... did a wash... then I went to a friend's for NYE party and we ordered curry but I took cash out for that... I genuinely do not remember buying anything... Didn't go to the coop at lunch... ARG!

My card has already been cloned once but RBS spotted it so I hadn't been checking my bill AS closely as they seemed to be quite efficient but I am peeing myself that I will wake up tomorrow and my card will be maxed out from a TV or something.....

Googling webworks doesn't seem to shed any light on it...

It was only bloody Play.com!!!!

I have 3 other transactions showing as play.com but this one as come up as webworks!! Even the RBS lady was surprised (poor woman at work at midnight on Sat night, hope she is getting paid well!).

(I called them just now as OH said don't be silly, fraud will be open 24 hrs)

Yeah so... er... the moral of this story is watch out for play.com!

Hi I have just noticed this and my bank have told me it's a subscription service?

Is it play.com? as I did place an order with them.

I believe Webworks are the owners of play.com

Well it's the first time they have come up as webworks, it has always appeared as Play.com on my statement. Barclays have suspended my card as they insist it is a monthly subscription service.

Oh well betrer ring play.

Just spoken with Play.com to be told that they had a glitch on the system and that it will be showing as Webworks and not play but the glitch has been fixed.
