What device can be used for the following?

I am after the cheapest way for this to work. It isn't for me, but for a friend.

He wants to view extracted (as he used, but I assume saved) web pages on a memory stick via a handheld device. No other applications are needed really.

It would need a decent scroller and have a small memory size.

He thought a mini laptop from maplins at £139.99 inc delivery was just the job, but I'm wondering if you can offer an alternative? It would be better if he could view a decent amount of the web page.

He did also mention Pocket Surfer 2, but iif I remember correctly this can take up to 8 seconds to make a web page appear.

Thanks

Must be a busy man if he can't wait 8 seconds!
A netbook is probably the best option if he wants to view as much of the page as possible on a handheld device, while spending the least amount poss. Another option could be a pda and save to an SD card but web pages may not work correctly on mobile versions of IE, opera etc.

Check ebay for prices of asus eee 700 surf 2g/4g, probably around the £100 mark for one in near new condition.

the cheapest way is to print it out.

PDAs ofen support .jpg, so screen capture is another way. Some PDAs have browsing software included too.
GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time. ;)
