Should I buy a laptop now, or can I wait 6 weeks?

Hello all

I have done my home work with your help to decide which laptop I should go for. Now, I have got another dilemma! I don't need the laptop urgently for the next 5 weeks due to exams. However, I have no laptop as the old one broke.

The prices now are good as it is the sale time, but, do you think that the prices will remain the same or even go lower in the next 6 weeks as the number of sales might go down as a result of the financial hangover after Christmas.

Do you think I should buy now? What are the chances, given the current financial climate, that prices will rise again sky high?

All thoughts are welcomed

Laptop prices always go down when they are replaced by a newer, better model but i'm not sure 5 weeks will make a huge difference.

Generally speaking if you wait the price will go down... However if you keep to this premise you will never actually buy the laptop, it is always likely to be cheaper in the near future. Go on - bite the bullet, buy it and enjoy it!

True, but, the difference is that they might end the sale in 2 weeks time and when I want to buy it in February, the prices might revert to 'normal' range or go further down! What is the likelihood of this happening? Is there a new model to be released soon?

I would love to and believe me, I will not leave it long. It is going to be within 6 weeks!

Shall I go and get it today? Or is it ok to leave it another 5 weeks?

    Many thanks

The way the exchange rate is laptops may actually go up in price. Just a possibility, it may not happen.

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
