Crikey! That's scary.
Wanli came absolutely dead bottom out of 16 brands in Auto Express's August'08 Tyre Test, with the verdict "worryingly poor performance".
Semperit seemed to be the best budget brand, coming 7th and beating some established names like Michelin, Firestone and Bridgestone. The top five were Pirelli, Vredestein, Continental, Goodyear and Uniroyal.0 -
Read quite a bit about Vredestein. Which seem to be good.0

I have used Vredestien for a number of years on an MX5, not the worlds most powerful hairdresser mobile, but the tyres give good grip and wear well, the Vredestein Sportrac 205x50R16 cost around £43, I have just replaced a couple.
They came out top in an Auto Express test0 -
a had two 225/40/18 Vredestein sessenta's fitted about two months ago and was very pleased with them cost 190-00 fitted which is a good price for the tyre size
i fitted them after a good few recommendations and after running continental contact sport 2's for a number of yearsremember it is nice to be important
but more important to be nice
