Hi folks
Does anyone else have experience with Pinnacle Insurance when it comes to Income-Mortgage protection through Sickness and disability claims.
I see depression is not paid out for depending on circumstances, which maybe an issue for us at present, so any info will be a great help thanks folks.;)

Have you spoken to them directly?
Would that not be your best option first?
Anything on here would be conjecture and speculation.0 -

Thanks Andy.
Hubby did ring them and explained the situation, he was also put on meds for this and this is not a pre-existing med condition, hubby told them about this and they just said they would continue to send the forms out anyway, this is done and dusted, but then they required further info from his GP.
They received the info last week from the GP and now said its been assessed by the medical team (last Weds) and the letter was sent out in the post yesterday.
So just wondered if anyone else had experience with these due to "depressive episode", the letter I think should arrive by Monday I expect.
Here I do have the policy details which is on their site here:

They did confirm they lost/mis-laid all the GP disc information at first so this has been ongoing since end Oct 2008.The one and only "Dizzy Di"

This is taken from the KFD (key facts document) ........not "conjecture and speculation"
This is an exclusion

Thank you.
Not looking hopeful then, as he only seen the specialist twice referred by his GP, not going any longer but still on meds which were highered by his GP before he was referred, I think this has to be ongoing with a specialist, thats the way I see it.
Cheers;) , I don't hold any hope with this one.The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I hope this works, it's the KFD, if not PM me

This is one of the Exclusions here:
Will not pay disability benefit if:
Any condition of a mental or nervous breakdown origin, including Stress or Depression, unless a suitably qualified consultant certifies that the conditions prevent you from working, or you have been referred, and receive ongoing treatment from a medical specialist on the recommendation of your doctor. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I will have to look for the details for this, there is paperwork everywhere, but we will have to check if the cover covers me as well, although I do not recall on this.
I Care full time for my son with Autism and receive Carer's allowance but do not think this policy will count in my case, as its always been hubby thats been the main earner, so it would cover him only.
When they send the forms, its always just addressed to him.The one and only "Dizzy Di"
