 Hello all,
I purchased a HP PC from Comet in Paisley for £919 on Sunday 7th December - its touchscreen and really good!
I went to put a disc in the drive today - everything was fine, but when I removed the disc it made a 'CREAK CREAK' noise.
I went to put another disc in and it would not accept it, I have tried everything.
Obviously tomorrow is 29 days from purchase, although the PC was not used until 25th Dec - I want to return to Castle Vale, I am not driving 300 miles to Paisley! - they have a replacement in stock..
What are my legal rights on a replacement of a faulty PC from comet?
Thank you all so much!

You may have to accept a repair unless you can prove it was faulty from day one.0

Try some more discs. What actually happens when you insert one?
whats supposed to be on the disc? Software?0 -
Hello all,
Thanks for all your help!
The problem was - the disc drive is like the one in a car, it doesnt come out! The drive wouldnt take any discs in
I went to Castle Vale today and Comet replaced my £920 computer without question, which I thought was unusual,
even more unusual was the fact that the person behind me had the SAME computer with the SAME problem!
Hmmpff
Thanks all
