Pc connection to TV?

Happy new year everyone.
I was just wondering if it is possible to connect my pc to my TV. I have got a 32inch goodmans..a big beefy thing not one of those slick looking ones..unfortunately LOL.
Is it just a case of buying a cable or something?..or will my TV blow up or something crazy like that?
Thanks

It depends on your PC, most recent (last 5 years or so) video cards have a TV out in the form of either svideo (4 pin) or composite, which if available should connect to either the same sort of socket on the back of the TV, or a scart socket via a simple adapter (something like you get with consoles for connection to older TV's).

All except very new PCs and the majority of laptops have an RGB output - female socket with 3 rows of 5 pins, and your TV should have a matching input - it will be listed as RGB when you choose 'input' from your remote control. This is the easiest way I've found so far to connect. Using Scart adapters and such-like usually seem to end up with the picture half off the screen or with a big border.

Ika, take a look here at this thread that was discussed a few days ago...

Seems like a very common question that keeps coming-up.. Hope it helps. :j

Also, what 32" Goodmans tv do you have? The model number would help...
