Close Virgin CC and apply again later or wait?

We have cleared our Virgin CC as the 0% was ending but we will need another 0% in a few months (if there are any available). So should we leave the credit card open and hope we can get another offer off them in a few months or should we close it altogether and then apply to another company or try to apply to Virgin again in a couple of months?

Will closing it affect our rating if we apply to another company?

We have excellent credit rating by the way and have never been refused credit.

Thanks
KM

Maybe you could give Customer Relations a call once your statement is at £0 to see if they could offer anything before closing the account?
  • Thanks I'll give that a try but I am not hopeful that they will offer something so soon, worth a go though :D

I've had 0% follow on offers from MBNA within 48 hours of clearing a 0% balance. Be hopeful. ;)

Probably best to wait for a zero balance statement though, to maximise your chances.
  • Thanks YorkshireBoy thats good to know, lucky you thats great..I've checked online and the balance is now zero so may ring later and see what they have to say.

    Thanks
