Help getting my Belkin router online?

All physically connected all ok, went through the Belkin setup and it won't accept my Pipex username and password at internet connection stage. I am on pipex website and it lists the settings for routers, yet they seem all to be right.
If anyone could guide me through setup that would be great.

Sorry to point out the obvious but have you checked to make sure your keyboard layout is British and not US? Also check the Cap's lock and Num lock key, I always start with these just in case.

Never used it before with a router.
I have connected the ethernet
Connected my ADSL cable to the router
Connected the ethernet to my ethernet on my PC
Wired
Modem router
ADSL are all steady blue
The internet is blinking orange
Basically I am going through the disk setup wizard and it goes through all OK. When it gets to step 4 it asks for account info. I am putting in my account username as it is on my dial up connector software for the USB modem
which is basically (first name).(Surname)_home@dslconnect.co.uk
Then I put in my password, it then still blinks orange. And then says that my internet account info could not be accepted.
can anyone guide me through it all, and hopefully help to get it working?
If so I would be so gratefulLive for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -
You are not trying to put the brackets in around your first and last name on the router are you?Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? Sounds like you're doing everything right. It is set to use PPPoA and CHAP authentication?Conor

I could be barking up the wrong tree, but in your 'internet options > connections' you should have 'never dial a connection' ticked.0

Just a quick question - have you tried removing @dslconnect.co.uk from your username and just leaving hte first bit?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
