As previously stated, I have had my computer in to be rebuilt and therefore lost a lot of my settings.
However, I have just noticed that when I type in a www. address and press enter, sometimes nothing happens. What is going wrong here?

Check this link here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;236846. Try clearing your history and cache (in IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, then click Clear History, wait for it to complete, then click Delete Files, tick "Delete all offline content" then click OK and wait - can take a while)
See if that works. If not, does it only happen on certain websites and is it always those websites it happens on, or is it random? Do you get any error messages?0 -
Also it may be relevant..... after a new build and all depending how good it was.
To Change Keyboard Language Settings Do This.
Click on Start, Control Panel, Date Time and Regional Options,
Add Other Languages, Language Tab, Details.
Now click on, Add, Select (English United Kingdom) Click Ok
If you still see, English United States, Just Click On it Once
then click on remove, now click OK.
Now log off then back on for changes to take effect.0 -
Tigermatt - it is too early to tell whether this is a regular occurrence - only got my machine back yesterday but it happened several times. Will have to monitor it, but thanks for your suggestions. By the way, no error messages are coming up.0
