I have a dsc p200 which is okay for everyday photos but i am looking for a camera which is very easy to use and takes close up pictures.
I make seed bead necklaces and need to show them in good detail close up but i cant get my sony to work
So im looking for something that will take pictures close up with very little techy instructions as im not very good at all the techy stuff.
So im looking for help .....im hoping to go back to olypmus but im not too fussed as long as its easy touse

Your camera has a macro function and should be able to focus at 6cm with the zoom set to wide angle (fully zoomed out)

Just find the macro setting, it will be in your user manual if you are not sure.

Switch on camera - make sure you press the button with the "flower" symbol on it usually on the back the flower will come up on the screen which means the camera is ready for close up shots - just leave it on the auto setting which is usually red on green on top of camera and is marked AUTO - ready to go, when using a digital camera press shutter down half to focus then the rest of the way .

also handy to use the timer on close ups
set up the camera for the shot and then set a short timer
means you dont jar the camera pushing the button
