Hello,
I was turned down for a Hallifax Card today - no reason given.
The trouble I have accepting this one is that I am debt free, have 3 credit cards where the balance is clear and no CCJs.
I have recently moved home, perhaps thats the reason?

Electoral Roll omission and/or a lack of address history is the most likely reason.
Then again, they may consider you already have enough available credit on your 3 current credit cards.
The rejection letter may give further information, but a check of your credit report should give you more information.0 -
Hi, i have had a halifax credit card for a while now an dhavent really used it but was going to spend a bit on it this month and halifax sent me a letter saying that they were reducing my limit from £5,000 to £500 saying the usual thing that they are reviewing accounts and were reducing my limit. So, ive cancelled it as its not really worth having. I dotn know if Halifax are simply not lending at the mo or something0

The limit on my Halifax card was upped last Month from £4,000 to £5,500, only have a balance of £600 on the card. No idea why it was increased by so much0
