help with laptop!!!

daughter has just dropped my laptop and now the screen is just about visible (almost black), can anyone help!!!

    most screens are backlight with florescent tubes which may have gone, or the inverter components have been dislodged or it might just be a laptop who's brightness control is on the outside and just needs to be turned up (have not seen this for ages though).

    If it is not the controls, you will have to open the screen up, turn it on and you may see the light!
    GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time. ;)
