Great Haggis Hunt for 25th January

Now as I understand it McSweens is the best haggis in all of Scotland and is shipped all over the world.

Lets have some recommendations, not necessarily the cheapest but the best flavour please

McDonalds Bros in Pitlochry have been recommended to me - I'll be able to tell you whether their Haggis is any good after the 25th. ;)

I can confirm now: their haggis is really good, spicy without being overly spicy, not too fine and not too coarse, and in a proper stomach, not plastic.

Can't remember their name just at the mo', but the butcher in Juniper Green does excellent haggis.

I think any traditional wee butcher will be better than most mass produced stuff - and that includes Macsweens!
  • That would be Scotts at 574-576 Lanark Road, Juniper Green icon12.gif

Never actually been to their butchers shop, but their steak house in Morrison Street Edinburgh is very good.

I've had haggis there as part of a starter.

    mmmmmmmm

  • Blackface make a very good one:

According to Ainsley Harriot, Findlays of Portobello is 'the best' (I haven't tried it):
