Most effective way to clear an overdraft?

Well its now resolved. The bank have agreed to allow me to pay it back over a 9 month period and freeze any further interest and charges on the account. They've basically added the charges and any dd's to go out before I get paid to the amount overdrawn and put my overdraft limit upto that figure. So each month i transfer the set amount over from my new account and keep decreasing the balance until month 9 when they will completley remove my overdraft. Alot of effort but worth it.
Plus I had a review and found places to save more money as it was obvious I have the funds available to budget accuratly.Total Debt: £4,799 (4 payday loans and 2 Credit Cards)
DMP with CCCS paying £272 a month started September 2011

glad is all resolved but it all seems a bit strange and I hope it has no adverse affect on your credit file0
