M&S Morecard interest - anyone been able to get it lowered?

At the moment I'm paying 20.9% on my Morecard (was originally 16.9%). I've tried phoning them to have it reduced but they send they won't. Anyone else tried to have it reduced and had it done?
I can't apply for a new card as I had a lot of applications for loans (was moving house (renting) and needed cash for the deposit) and new bank accounts in the last 12 months. Also applied for a card in September but was declined so would rather wait a while to try and get my score looking a bit tidier.

I do have a Barclaycard but I've already maxed that out with a BT to reduce some existing debt on another card. So I'm already shuffling.

This year is all about reducing these debts and doing it smartly and efficiently so big thanks to Martins advice.
