CH Ideas for cheapest ways of putting together gift baskets

HI
Was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am looking at the cheapest ways of putting together gift baskets which we could sell at our fayres. We have a summer and Christmas Fayre and these are usually very well attended.
I saw someone selling the baskets at the fayre for as much as £8.50 each and as this person was only donating a stall fee thought this was something we could do and make more money for our funds.
Any ideas on the cheapest places to get baskets or things to fill them?Obviously need to keep costsas low as possible so we can make as much as possible without having to charge a large amount. Thought we could do different themes e.g. DIY, Toiletries, Gardening, Cooking, DVDs etc.
Any ideas welcome and any experiences of trying this or anything similar.
Thanks in advance
Kay
