Where to sell an air riflle?

Hi
My friend got some unexpected money and rather foolishly decided to buy an air rifle.
He initially used 10 pellets, ( I think thats the correct term !) but it has sat in the box for a month and he has now realised it was a wasted impulse buy !
I offered to help him sell it which I am now regretting !!
My question is where would be the best place for me to advertise a second hand ( albeit nearly new) air rifle?
It cost £250 + scope + pellets + other things I dont understand.
He wants £150 back for it.
I assume the sale must be restricted to over 18's ( but again I dont know this for sure?) and I have discounted ebay in my head for this reason.
I suggested a car boot, not expecting to sell on the day, but possibly taking names/numbers of any interested people. But he thinks this is a silly idea. He tried to take it back to the shop but it has closed for the unforeseeable future due to illness.
Are there any enthusiasts out there who could recommend forums or sites that might attract interest?
Or should I dig a big hole and bury it ?
Many thanks in advance. :T

Sadly with the paranoia about guns in this country you may well have problems selling it. I would suggest that you do a search on Google to find any shops in your area that sell air rifles. Alternatively you could try something like using the freeads or adtrader. The problem with them is that some ignorant dogooder will complain about your ad and before you know it they pull it. Another possibility could be a local gun club?0

A few dedicated gun classified ad sites:
UK Gun Room | Gun Trader | eRifle | Fish and Field Sports
And some general classified ad sites you wouldn't think you'll find guns on (best to read the T&C before listing anything just in case):
UKClassifieds | Gumtree | FreeAds | AgMart | Ad-Mart | Loot0 -
I have sold air rifles on these sites.

I am not sure but fishing supply shops usually sell air rifles and things like that, it might be worth having a look at any shop like that local to you??0
