Definately not good. There is a whole host of surfaces listed on the back of the bottle it advises against use on. I've found it to be quite an abrasive cleaner so don't use every day.

Nevertheless if this product has caused damage persons or property to sum of more than £250 you can sue the manufacturers under Part 1 of The Consumer Protection Act 1987 http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/pdf1/act1987.pdf
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:
  • I've seen the adverts for this stuff, but never found it in the shops??
One thing that intrigues me about the commercial is how a hosepipe can produce so much rust!!!!!

Hey, would you use a product that sounds like a cr*p !!!!!! movie?
Every day above ground is a good day.
  • Cillit Bang is actually made by a fairly reputable company Reckitt Benckiser who make lots of houshold products including Dettol.

I know Cillit Bang quite well as we tried to sell some packaging for this product before launch and Cillit Bang basically destroyed our packaging during the trials.

It is very aggressive and should not be used as an everyday cleaner 'always read the label' has to be the watchword with this stuff.

Reckitt (and others) sell a 1000 different cleaning products for work surfaces, toilets and the like but Cillit Bang should be the last resort once you know Mr Muscle, Orange Glo etc. won't work and the item is expendable.

    Cheers

    Mr E.

Exactly! Took some explaining to the Mrs who was thinking what's a household cleaner got to do with the carnal act
  • I bought Cillicit bang to clean some burnt food on my cooker, it was rubbish. Just an over priced Jif clone.
